01 — Approach

The image takes shape as both hands move.

Isia does not reproduce the same scene on the left and right. He lets two narratives develop together. Architecture may answer a body, a creature may meet a fragment of a city, and a precise line may sit beside a more instinctive area.

His visual language draws on manga, organic forms, visual memory and fantasy. Black ink gives the gesture its speed and clarity. He sometimes adds colour to guide the eye rather than fill the whole image.

Sans limite, from paper to wall

A four-metre composition with no fixed centre for the eye.

Sans limite was drawn in India ink on 300 gsm paper without a preliminary sketch. Cities, machines, faces and fantastical forms accumulate across the work. It later moved to a larger scale as a mural unveiled in Beauséjour during the Bois de Lettres event, with support from the City of Sainte-Marie and CBo Territoria.

Eight canvases, two hands

Drawing two different works at the same time, without a model and in front of an audience.

In December 2022, at the Sainte-Marie media library, Isia produced eight original canvases using two brushes. Four days had been planned, but he completed the works in about a day and a half. The project is presented here as a documented creative challenge, without claiming an officially certified record.
