Two drawings taking shape in parallel
Isia Augustine draws on two separate surfaces at the same time. His left hand does not copy his right: each develops a distinct composition, with its own rhythm, forms and direction.
An instinctive process
The drawings are created without preliminary sketches. India ink makes every decision visible and irreversible. The work develops through visual memory, timing and the dialogue between both hands.
From drawing to performance
When the process is presented live, the audience watches both drawings take shape. The gesture becomes part of the work: a drawing practice that can be read from two sides at once.
